Braunform GmbH is one of the most innovative providers of services and solutions for the plastics processing industry. Founded in 1977, the family-owned company with headquarters in Bahlingen and Endingen a. K. near Freiburg is one of the world's leading players in the field of plastic mold making. Now, for the third time, the medium-sized company has been honored with the Top Job award, which ensures Braunform a place among the best employers in the German SME sector.
The award is based on a scientifically sound survey of the 360 employees, which determined a high level of job satisfaction. For the management of the innovative plastics specialist, it is of competitive relevance to be perceived as an attractive employer, as this is the only way to attract and retain the required highly qualified specialists. However, loyalty and responsibility also play an important role in the canon of values of the family business committed to the region, which is not only directed towards customers but also towards its employees. „People are our most valuable asset“, explains Pamela Braun, the managing director, "this is why we ensure that our work environment always encourages mutual respect, openness, a sense of community and a wealth of opportunities for personal development. Braunform not only scores points with "hard facts" on wages and salaries as well as some financial benefits, but for years now the company has also been expanding its range of services, for example in the area of knowledge management or health care. These include sports events, the use of a professional fitness network (Hansefit) is also financed as well as preventive medical check-ups such as vitality checks or skin cancer screening.
Special attention is paid to the work of young talents of the medium-sized company that depend on know-how. With a trainee share of 13 percent and an above-average rate of hiring, Braunform demonstrates responsibility, not only for securing their own future. More than 250 specialists have found a qualified job directly after successfully completing their apprenticeship or dual studies. But the company also offers further training and promotion opportunities to its employees. Employees can thus pursue an alternative career path to become a senior expert. In addition, there are support programs for prospective managers.
By the way, the care for the well-being of the employees does not end at the factory gate. During the summer holidays, for example, the company organizes a children's day for its own employees' kids and also supports other sports and leisure activities for employees. This is in keeping with the fact that the regionally rooted people of southern Baden also show social commitment in other ways. For example, Braunform supports an association for children with cancer for a long time and also sponsors several charitable institutions and projects proposed by employees each year. Particularly close to the company's heart is its membership to the "Haus Johannes" support association in Bahlingen, with which the company's trainees are now organising a project together with the residents of the house for the second year in succession. Last year, for example, a herb spiral was successfully built and a subsequent barbecue party resulted in a lively exchange between the residents of the house and the company's trainees. The institution in Bahlingen is inhabited by about 35 people with various disabilities.
