Braunform focusses on sustainability
With an increased commitment to sustainability, the family business is striving to have a positive impact on the environment and social issues through various initiatives. Marleen Schultheis has been appointed as Sustainability Officer to lead these endeavors. Braunform endeavors to meet the increasing demands of customers for sustainability and intends to publish a report on sustainability issues in accordance with the legal requirements of the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive).
“We are not just aiming for sustainability as a short-term trend but we want to establish it as a firmly anchored value in our corporate philosophy. After all, we can only maintain our reputation on the international market by addressing sustainability issues and actively collaborating with each individual department”, says Marleen Schultheis, Sustainability Officer.
“Sustainability is a holistic concept that encompasses ecological, social and economic aspects. Social responsibility is guaranteed by a code of conduct that is based on the principles of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and contains guidelines against corruption, discrimination and for fair working conditions. We also develop injection molds for which plastic is the only alternative raw material or is more resource-efficient than other options”, emphasizes Pamela Braun, Owner and Managing Director.
