EcoVadis Silver Medal: Award for sustainable commitment

Braunform receives silver status in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) ranking of EcoVadis and is well above the industry average given by rating experts.

Social responsibility is becoming more and more important in society, but also in industry. As a global company Braunform attaches great importance not only to successful but also to sustainable business practices. Responsible action and sustainable solutions play an essential role here. "We develop and produce injection molds with which our customers manufacture end products for which - according to the current state of the art - plastic as a raw material has no alternative or is more resource-friendly than the possible alternative. The award confirms that we are on the right track with our sustainability statement and is also an incentive to further improve our performance.", says owner and Managing Director Pamela Braun. The goal of the medium-sized company is now to implement the optimization potentials discovered by the evaluation in internal improvement measures in the future.

The independent assessment platform EcoVadis supports companies in optimizing their environmental and social practices. EcoVadis checks the quality level of different processes of CSR management of companies and enables international comparability of different management systems. Holistic ratings in the area of corporate responsibility allow to minimize risks and optimize global supply chains. The methodology, which is based on international CSR standards, evaluates companies on the basis of 21 criteria from the four subject areas of environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. Over 65,000 companies from 160 countries use EcoVadis' CSR assessments to promote transparency and mutual trust in trade relations.
