Start of apprenticeship in 2023

With the start of the 2023 apprenticeship year, Braunform GmbH expands its portfolio by adding the qualification of a Metal Technology Specialist (m/f/d). This is a 2-years apprenticeship with the focus on becoming a specialist at your employer in the shortest possible time, alternatively you can then qualify further as a machining or mould mechanic. In addition, Braunform is working on a concept to integrate people who have made a career change. In the modern training center, these candidates undergo a shortened basic training course and are then trained on the processing machines in the training center before moving to their specialist departments after a few months.

With this expanded range, the company is taking action against the shortage of skilled workers and, with the expansion to a total of 10 apprenticeship programs and studies, is targeting a broader audience. In Baden-Württemberg in particular, and especially in the high-tech region of Baden, companies give top priority to the goal of providing themselves with young talents by offering apprenticeships. For this purpose, 2 full-time trainers and a whole team of training supervisors are available to the apprentices.

At the beginning of the new apprenticeship year, 12 new apprentices start their training. They will be trained as mould makers (m/f/d), plastics and rubber technologists (m/f/d), technical product designers (m/f/d), warehouse logistics specialists (m/f/d), industrial clerks (m/f/d) and metal technology specialists (m/f/d).

However, this list is not exhaustive. There are other apprenticeships, such as warehouse clerk, mechatronics technician and study opportunities for Bachelor of Engineering (DHBW), mechanical engineering - specialising in plastics technology and Bachelor of Arts (DHBW) BWL - specialising in industry.

The training of junior employees has a long tradition at Braunform and traditionally enjoys a high priority. Currently, 40 apprentices and students are undergoing their training. However, in total, more than 250 professionals have successfully completed their apprenticeship or studies at Braunform GmbH. Many of them are still working for the company today.

This is a confirmation of the company's position as an attractive employer in the region. During their apprenticeship, the apprentices pass through different departments. This way, they learn everything for their future profession in the respective working area and discover their individual interests in the process. Modern apprenticeship in the production process with state-of-the-art machinery as well as joint activities and events are further essential components. The apprentices are actively supported by their trainers and by regular consultation meetings.

As a regionally based family-owned company, Braunform participates in numerous apprentice fairs to present its range of apprenticeships, in addition to student seminars and candidate training. The recruitment phase for apprenticeships in 2024 has already begun.
